I can't believe this
I was fired. Why? I asked for a day off. A sunday, none-the-less. My project is postponed indefinitely. I'm not gonna be able to move out of my parents. I have no clue how I'm gonna pay my bills. There was no warning, no probation, no verbal signs, hell, people have even been telling me I'm doing a good job! I've been early EVERY day, I've done everything they've told me to and they haven't told me ONCE that I've been doing something wrong. I have known for a while that one of my sales manager has had it in for me. He'* the one who fired me. I don't even think he had the authority to. Is there any legal action I can take? Since there was no grounds, and there was no warning? And even more important, WHAT THE **** AM I GOING TO DO. I'm not happy. I'm not happy at all. Happy is not in the forecast. How? How? Why did this happen? To me? I don't get it. I know I'm weird and that some people don't get along with me, but does that mean they have to ruin my LIFE? I think not... Now I have a dying tranny with no income. I'm researching how to sell a kidney. I'm out of ideas. I think I might have to force myself to go to school, even though I had such a bad experience. It'* unavoidable, for me at least. I'm going to have to sell my car. I don't know how I'm supposed to pay for it. Let alone that and insurance. Why me? Oh god, I've started being emo. I shouldn't even post this, it'* all a bunch of crap. Well, at least it'* helping me let off some steam. I feel beaten. Laziness, I'm coming back to you...

dude that totally sucks :(
As far as you being hard to get along with... I don't see where :? I find you to be a very very easy person to get along with.
I know it sounds pathetic, but keep your chin up.. better times will come.

Contact you local DOL
You should be able to get unemployment for that
Far as is it legal.. If Ohio a "At will state"? if so.. then he had every legal right to fire you at any time for any reason.
But you should be able to get unemployment

The thing that sucks was that I was actually doing my job RIGHT. I was out there talking to customers, I was calling people, and all the sudden this hits me.

I would try to VERY CALMLY go and talk to someone higher up then the person that fired you and ask for an honest explanation as to why you were fired.

I was planning on calling the GM tomorrow, but he probably won't do anything since he rarely cares about his employees (or so I've been told)

I'd definitely think you should get unemployment. :? Did he say you were "fired" or "laid off?" Either way, it'* one of the worst fears I think anyone has, me being one of them. What was your job and have you thought about what your next job step may be? Sorry to hear about this. I'd definitely make sure you're getting unemployment. If you were "fired" for no reason then you obviously have to take some action. If you were laid off, you should get compensation.
EDIT: Wait...so he said you were fired for asking for a day off? Was this before or after that day?

I'm with Ryan, then if that doesn't work definitely look into unemployment. Each State has different laws, but seems like you should be bale to collect. If they fight it you may even be entitled to a free Attorney. I had one before and she was good.
And, if you go to school that would work great. Sometimes you even get more or can get it for longer if you are in school.

He said fired. The only bit about the unemployment is this... Since it was a car dealer, it was all commission, how do I get unemployment for an all-commission job?
