Need help, about my cat.

First let me say, he WILL NOT shut up. He constantly meows at the front and back doors, wanting out. He is a indoor cat and I will not let him outside. He is only about a year and a half old. It is obvious he is wanting out to go find a mate to well.......mate with, and it is driving me nuts. No he is not fixed yet, and I don't plan to for another few months. Any way to stop him from wanting to go outside? It is really starting to get annoying, as he meows fairly loud constantly, and proceeds to drive everyone nuts! Please serious answers only, and no I will not get rid of my cat.

Honestly, i don't think that you can do anything without getting him fixed. I think it's a natural thing.
I have been there before, except the cats I had were females. The noise is quite annoying.
I now have a male cat who is fixed, and he never does that.
Good luck!

I'm also of the belief that he should be fixed. That's about the only thing I know will work.

Fixing him might not FIX his problem... I have a female who does the same thing (she's fixed) sometimes its not all about that "Smell" it's out the smell of everything else. and he knows that the doors are the way in and the way out..

Maybe get him a collar and a tie out and put him outside for a few hours every day.

Why are you waiting to get him fixed?

Agreed. The only thing left to happen is spraying in the house. It's a nasty smell that you'll wish you avoided by having him fixed.

I know..I wish I had..and my next one will be done asap.

Plus, it's the responsible thing to do as a pet owner. ;)

Yeah, I gave the vet a call this morning, he has a appointment Monday to get fixed. I can't take the meowing anymore.

Cut the cat out and have a new one welded in. A Magnaflow hi-flow cat will produce a much more pleasing and mellow tone. Not annoying at all.[/img]

Yuk, yuk, yuk.....

That's actually the first thing I thought when I first saw the topic title.
