Default ATTENTION ALL BONNEVILLE OWNERS! How reliable is your Bonne?

Okay, the big question: How reliable is your Bonneville? I'm setting up a 10-point scale, so make sure to use that as the primary rating system. Also, after voting, please name year and trim level, as well as significant options, of your Bonne, followed by a description of major problems, as well as any other pertinent information you think should be included. Don't sugarcoat anything: Put everything out there, and be AS FAIR AND JUST AS POSSIBLE when rating your car! If it was a lemon, say so!

I'm starting this thread to prove to my mom that Bonnevilles defy that standard "American cars are unreliable" theme. She tried to pass that off as one of the big reasons she doesn't want me buying another Bonne. This could determine whether or not I can buy another one, so, please, do sound off Let'* vanquish that old myth once and for all, and state the truth: The modern-day Pontiac Bonneville is one of the best cars ever made, and is a shining example of modern American car manufacturing excellence.

9 for sure
Had a few issues with the Battery, replaced that, ever since I'm good to go
My old Bonneville was probally a 4, not overly well taken care of and it was miled out pretty badly.

Ever since I retained possession of this car, I have had no problems. Sure I replaced the battery and plugs, but that was because I wanted to, they were fine as is. Driving it several thousand miles last summer/fall without any problems, I would say it is very reliable. I think I got a lucky one on my hands

8. Mainly because I think my transmission is about to go. But, other than that, she'* great. The top end rebuild wasn't really necessary [especially to the degree I am doing it], and replacing Lower Intake Gaskets would only take me an afternoon. She'd be a 10 if the transmission was in better shape, the suspension was newer, and the paint was in better condition.

'89 SSE, fully loaded minus Moonroof.

8. started each time every time. even though it was neglected some. accumulator on brakes died about 4 months ago. engine was starting to fade i think. but never the less, it ran, and ran smooth, until a lady ran a stop sign. still starts up and runs today, but wont shift up out of first.

I voted a 9 because my car is a 1991 and I've owned it for 3 years and it has not given me any problems other than a few minor maintenance repairs. IMHO BONNEVILLE'* ROCK!!!
