I see low 12s with that manual trans. GM is coming out with a six speed MANUAL for this engine in 2006!? :shock: Thats news to me.

I don't. That particular 5 speed is not very good, and it actually cannot handle much power. There is a guy that put one of those 5 speeds in his '90 Turbo GP, and with minimal mods the case shattered with a 3k clutch dump at the track when the tires stuck. And, it isn't gonna make the car any faster, I see it running pretty much exactly what it did before the swap, possibly a hair faster, but definately not 12 second capable, unless of course it was with the auto trans and it just wasn't driven properly or had a poorly prepped track or something like that.

It is a very neat car however, and he has been trying to sell it for a while. I think originally he wanted $9500 for it, but he really needs the money I guess, which is why he is now down to $6k. I'm sure its a nice car, and seems worth the money to me, but it is a '96 GP, so for someone that isn't really a GP enthusiest, it is still just a $3k car.
