Default Poll: What to do with the van?

so as you all have heard the drag van lost its transmission a month or so ago and has been parked at my GF'* parents house since then. i've recently been trying to come up with a plan of action for it.

originally i was offered $250 for it from a junkyard, who later reneged and offered $100. i'm more than a little bit pissed about that. no other yards want to pay more than $50 for it. and i'd really rather not see it go to a scrapyard.

i'm currently trying to find a transmission that will fit it and replace the blown transmission. from there it'* really a matter of deciding what it'* fate will be. it'* gonna cost me and extra $600 a year to insure it plus whatever it costs to re-register (i transferred registration over to the sabre.)

i don't know that to do.

and of course theres always this:

the pickup thing is cool looking but you would still have to spend the money
fixing the tranny and registration etc...

if you dont have the money to fix it. scrap it and be done with it.

Toss it up on craigslist. You'll get more for it there than from a junk yard.

i would love to do this, but the budget is tight. way too tight.

however this is an open invitation. i will donate this vehicle, as is, free of charge to anybody who promises to do what is said above.

episodes of pinks are routinly filmed here at my hometown track. maybe if we all band together we can get it on there and just put on a good show. win or lose it'll be a riot. i just want to be there when it is raced.
