Central audio controller with surround sound and IR detector circuit. Winamp pulugin of course. Maybe a couple line LCD so you don't have to have a monitor.

866 or 933.

THOSE ARE DAMN GOOD MOBOS. the last of dells "decent" motherboards before they went to crap...at least at the ~$1000 price range.

so uh leave it as a backup when your current main HDD fails..that is if you have a lot of useless files like myself.

Funny thing is that those computers are nearly free on ebay yet are still more than fast enough if they are clean installed (2k pro of course) and 512mb.....odd how computers have gotten faster these days but the speed was never really needed for the average non-gamer/graphics guru/nerd/geek.

Back in the day though 5+ years ago it was actually a good idea to buy a new pc but now.....well damn near anything 1-4 years old will let you do internet/email/write letters/burn cds/download pirated music/play dvds....and what else do most "average" people use their pcs for?

Not sure how many of you guys were heavily involved in computers prior to windows 9x though. those were the days lol. AOL 2.5 was the shi* back then. just got support for 28.8K whooo hoo.

I'm with Dame. Get yourself a good sound card (Soundblaster Audigy or Audigy 2) and a good set of speakers, and you got yourself a killer sound system. A guy I knew had this setup in his apartment, hooked into his TV and Stereo, and the control was unbelievable

Hmm, I allready have a tower that can control speakers. It was fun having that hooked up.

I think the motherboard on this took a crap on me anyways, several rebuilds and torn it apart and its still acting goofy.

Audio Jukebox. Hell just put itunes on all of the computers, and you can dump ALL of your music on there, and listen wherever. hook it up to a stereo, and ur golden.

I love my Dell'* 8200 Mobo personally, hasn't done me wrong yet, it'* an 850-e chipset i believe... One of the best (and last) for RDRAM.
