My newly built computer, with more Pics......

As you know my old P4 System died, I had endless posts about it. Well heres what will be finished monday.
AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 1MB L2 Cache
MSI K8T800 Mobo K8T-NEO FIS2R
512MB DDR3200
120GB Seagate HD IDE, 8MB Cache
Gigabyte Nvidia FX5700 Video card
Windows XP Pro
48X CDRW, DVD Combo
11 Fans Total

This thing should scoot. I will post pictures when its done. As for the old one its getting fixed and sold. SO what do you think of my soon to be new beast? I'm taking my time and building this one right!

Sounds like a kick ass system. The AMDs are excellent value for the money, you'll get some good 'bang' out of it.

One thing I don't think you'll like is all those case fans. Either you're deaf, will be going deaf or like lots of whining  . I hope those are mostly thermstatic controlled fans or I suspect they've drive you nuts eventually.

I've weaned myself down to 3 case fans from 6 in my Antec case and I'm much happier, the temps in the case haven't gone up at all either.

Cheers,

Cheers,

4 of the fans are thermo controlled. I have 2 80 MM in the PS, one 92MM in each side, 2 80 mm in the rear of the case, 2 80 mm in the front of the case, 2 40mm in the hard drive cooler, 1 70mm on the CPU, and 1 fan on the video card. SO I guess theres more than 11 fans. Anyways My P4 system had 9 fans and I got used to it. Just had to turn my tv up a good bit to hear it over the PC, and I got so used to the noise that when I shut the thing off the dead silence freaked me out. I could hear the pc anywhere in my apartment. It was very nerveracking at first. I will have to get used to these 12 or so fans, which shouldn't take long.

LOL...sounds like the basis for a good commercial about the addictiveness of PCs

Other than the noise, I'm sure you'll be happy with you new system!

Cheers,

Yeah, tell me about it, Some nights hearing the fans off in the living room actually helped me get to sleep, kinda like a familar soothing sound to me, I know I am retarded

The 32 bit AMDs are good value! And the Pentium M is arguably Intel's best processor
