Pics don't do it justice. The beam itself (not just the spot) is visible in low light. Up to 10 miles at night. In daylight, you can see the spot on a building a mile away. These pics really don't show, but the beam was ALOT more visible than they appear here.

We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships :robot:

Just don't shine it at aircraft, the Feds'll throw you in for 10-12!

I bet it will look real cool in a fog.

Twister97 09-03-2005 08:52 AM

What does it do?

willwren 09-03-2005 11:34 AM

It's a laser. Pointer.

And it's far too powerful for cats. The reflection off the floor can blind them.

You think cats are fun to mess with..... try my 120lbs German Shepard.... the "Red Dot" as we call it... is his favorite toy.... he'll chase it until he passes out from exhaustion....
..... and just a note.... 120lbs of ANYTHING does not stop on a dime.... let alone a 120lb dog on a hardwood floor.... hehe

Cool toy Bill.... green is very cool :!:

My son is getting a Crossman CO2 pellet pistol for his birthday today. It is an EXACT replica of a Walther PPK complete with laser sight (I think I want one too). Dad has had a lot of fun last weekend on the deck at 2am scoping out every house in the neighborhood. You would be amazed that you can see that tiny little red dot on a house 250 yards away.

Somehow I am thinking that although the pistol won;t be to healthy for cats eighter, my fiance's cat spent an hour trying to catch the red dot! Ever see a cat try to climb a 16 ft wall at full speed?

That sight isn't a laser, but a projected LED on a reticle.

The FDA limits laser pointers in the US to less than 5mw. This sucker is 25mw. Lotsa fun. It literally looks like star wars on a clear night. The beam is visible for miles. Not just the dot. In daylight, the beam is clearly visible on a building a mile away. I tried it today.
