My mom goes under the knife...

Just found out that some of the problems my mom's beenhaving is caused by a blockage in her corroded artery (neck) and they have scheduled her for 6am Monday morn to do a router router job. The procedure is pretty routine, I'm not too worried, I just hope it actually works.

I'm working doubles this weekend (34hrs in 2 days) so getting up that early will be a bear and I'm sure my mom wants me to take her. Its not like theres much choice, my older sis, the only other driver in the family, has to be at work by 6am.

I wonder how this will affect my Bonne buying ability :( <grrr> something always seems to come up when I have money in the bank.

What a lead-in to my 5 day vacation...

Here's to hoping everything words out well as I'm sure it will. :?

Enjoy your vacation after all the stuff goes down!

Tim.. best wishes for your Mom..

As for the buying abilities...haha.. you will probably be a better buyer because you will be tired and grumpy, therefore you won't want to mess around. If they accept your offer...great..if not.. FINE.. you are outta there. ;)

Bonneville's are gonna be around for a long time, time with family is precious. Hope everything goes better than smooth! :D Then she can get up and around early for a ride in your new Bonneville!

Glad to hear it went well.

Ok I'm back and my Mom is in the ICU because her blood pressure dropped and stayed low. (80's / 40's). The operation went fine and she's not even talking pain meds; they're just not sure why the BP dropped so low. She made me laugh; when I said that now she would have another scar on her neck, she said "Thats the good thing about wrinkles: they hide scars pretty good."

Good to hear everything went well and Mom still has her sense of humour

timothyt5 07-23-2007 09:31 PM

That's great news Tim. Humor always helps.

We'll keep prayin'!

crzydmnd72 07-23-2007 11:50 PM

Ask her if she wants to wax the new Bonny when she gets out

Glad to hear everything is good, got worried there for a second when the word "icu" was dropped

Yea, me too. I spend just about all day there; BP is back up and we waited 3 hours for her to be moved out of the icu. I had to leave for work shortly after and they were expecting to disharge her by 6pm. She hasn't called me yet so hopefully she'll be home soon.

3hrs sleep makes for a long 8hr shift <yawn> thou.

Just saw this for the first time... glad to hear it went well (except for the BP issue). She'll feel 100% better now that the blood is circulating better...more energy, everything. 8) Glad they caught it and I will her a speedy recovery.
