Default "My Little Girl"

It'* kinda funny. After yesterdays joking around aboout my daughter in my "I Want That" thread, I go home, flip over to GAC, and I see the video for My Little Girl by Tim McGraw

I hate getting old.....

I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm.
You've had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born.

Chorus:
Beautiful baby from the outside in.
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again.
Go on, take on this whole world.
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl.

Verse 2:
When you were in trouble that crooked little smile could melt my heart of stone.
Now look at you, I've turned around and you've almost grown.
Sometimes you're asleep I whisper "I Love You!" in the moonlight at your door.
As I walk away, I hear you say, "Daddy Love You More!".

(Repeat Chorus)

Verse 3:
Someday, some boy will come and ask me for your hand.
But I won't say "yes" to him unless I know, he'* the half
that makes you whole, he has a poet'* soul, and the heart of a man'* man.
I know he'll say that he'* in love.
But between you and me. He won't be good enough!

(Repeat Chorus)

Awe, that makes me want to cry. That is a sweet song. That is how my dad was with me. He still calls me his little girl and I will always be his little girl

I would go up to him and say "Daddy, I love you" and he would respond with "What do you want and how much will it cost?"

He spoiled me rotten and my 2 older brothers would have me go ask Dad for stuff they wanted like to get McDonalds for dinner or hot fudge sundaes and he would always say "Okay."

My brothers and my mom would get mad at Dad because of how he spoiled me. Dad use to call me his little queen but I got dethroned when I threw a piece of paper on the floor and Mom told me to pick it up. I told her "I'm the queen, you're the servant - you pick it up" - Well that didn't fly well with my mother and I got demoted to princess I was only 5 or 6 at the time

I hear you, John. I have three daughters who are all precious to me and they are ALL daddy'* girls. The oldest is now 14 and I have begun to cherish the moments I spend with her.

Mom would never dare lay a hand on me. She would have to deal with Dad

See, my Dad would have backed Mom up. It would have meant a sore backside to anyone who took her on.

Dad backed Mom up on everything else except me. He didn't want me to have to do any chores and he would give me a really good allowance. He would let me do things that Mom wouldn't let me do. I always knew who to go to and ask for certain things. When it came to dating I asked Mom and then she argued with Dad, when it came to going out shopping or buying something I went to Dad
