Take that thing to the shop. It should. My moms Max can do that and its not even supercharged. 255hp with 245tq. Less torque and still maks the tiresqeual at a higher mph.
the boast gauge reads full when floored tho and seems to run pretty smooth I think

is there anyway we can adjust the boost somewhere and how can we get it checked out? it dont even really seem to be close to squeaking at 30 mph and it seems to pull harder sometimes rather than others

Boast gauge. Classic.

You can adjust the boost by changing the pulley size, but get an intake first. And try the BCA adjustment in Performance and Brainstorming.

That GTP may not sqeak at 30. Some do, some don't. Get a full tuneup, but even with that, the tires may not let you.

The S2 engine has 240 hp and 280 ft-lbs on the Bonneviiles, but not the GTP because of the restrictive exhaust.

Does your buddy'* GTP have a power outlet at the front passenger'* left ankle? Still boggles me why in the HELL GM would put it *there*. That'* where it is in my buddy'* 2001 GT "Performance Edition" (pictured below).

If your friend cares about the money he gave away to the stealership, tell him to contact the dealer and tell them how much better price he can find. If they don't want to revise the price and refund some of his money, he can (at least threaten) to return it for a full refund as the law in your state permits. If the dealer wants to keep the sale, they'll haggle. BUT the key is that your friend needs to be serious about his threat, and willing to carry it out.

Maybe the GTP "find" is worth the money, but otherwise that'* what I would suggest. Shopping around can do wonders when it comes to car stealerships.
