Default My friends new pontiac grand prix GTP q'* and stuff about it

Well my friend bought a 1999 pontiac grand prix GTP fully loaded heads up trac control leatehr moonroof pretty much everything for 10,200 and his crappy dodge avenger. One thing that bugs me is I was expecting more power (the car dealer let us put it to the floor when he came for the test drive). 295 ft lbs of tourque and 240 hp should at least throw you in your seat better.......... The GTP is in gold along with the grand prix on the back...........does that mean some kind of performance package..........he also has the performance shifting option.......all of the people admired this car hardcore when we came into quicky lube to get a full transmission servicing!! It has 61k miles and is red

You have to launch that car properly to make it really go. Just flooring it won't make it go too fast.

It has 275 ft-lbs stock, and it doesn't sound like any special edition.

I can get a fully loaded 1999 GTP with 60,000 miles for under $10,000 and no trade around my area.
BTW, it doesn't have 295 lb ft of torque unless it'* modded. Bone stock the Series II L67 has 280 lb ft of torque.

Series II 240hp 280tq

Gold package maybe. Maybe it needs a tune up. THat thing will make your neck sna if accelerated nicely. I hope you didnt think it would if your already doing 50 and then mashed on it. Performance shift comes with the supercharger. In 2001 the button is gone and is full time. Check to see if it has the USA olympic badging on it as well . Also might have to check the RPO to see if its a package if not an olympic bagde.

Take that thing to the shop. It should. My moms Max can do that and its not even supercharged. 255hp with 245tq. Less torque and still maks the tiresqeual at a higher mph.
