A country Christmas...
I don't think I quite realized what I was getting into here... I live with my redneck fiance, and it'* my first year here decorating for Christmas. He told me he has a Christmas tree and plenty of ornaments for it...and this is what makes this year an especially country Christmas :P You can't make this stuff up.
You know you're a farm kid when:
~Your Christmas tree looks like something straight out of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and this is emphasized by the fact that it'* fake.
~Your Christmas tree lights are all tiny tractors (in our case, the John Deere B) and you've arranged them all to face the same way so that it looks like they're driving up the tree in a spiral.
~You yell at the cat for batting around the Christmas ornaments...not because they're glass, but because they're all tiny, expensive, and insanely accurate farm tractors (again, John Deeres).
~Your tree topper is a tiny farm animal with wings and a halo (us: stuffed sheep).
I'm sure I'll run into more of this before I'm done decorating And to think I was raised with all RED tractors...

Unfortunately, I'm too low-tech to own a digital camera...I'll have to take pics, get them developed, and find time to scan them in and upload 'em...might take awhile :P
