Default New ride inside...

Well as great as the GTI is at everything, it'* not as engaging as some rides out there... So I had to get something else for the stable.

My new ride has the following...
- Carbon Fiber everything
- Paddle shifting
- Rear mounted transmission
- RWD
- Name brand brakes
- Slicks
- No roof
- amazing handling and ride
- Insane trip computer
- Centered seating
- TINY trunk
- 2 cupholders

... and two wheels!
It'* my first road bike I used to ride 10 miles a day atleast in high school. Didn't in college, and lost my fitness level, and my "thinking" time.. Ol' mountain bike needs about $500 into it to get everything working to an acceptable level between the shifters, drivetrain and fork, and it didn't even fit.

I've done a few 25 miler'* already pretty easily. I'm no where near in shape like I was, but I'm getting there.

Enter the '07 Specialized Roubaix Comp

Yah this is new ground for me, like I said, first Road bike evar for me. I'm absolutely in love with cycling again. I was tempted by a Full suspension Specialized FSR-XC @ the lovely price of CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, but I'll prob pickup a FS bike next year. This is fast, but I can't quite tool around town on it, or hit a trail by any stretch of the imagination

So right after I posted this I went out on my first group ride. The shop I bought it from has them every monday night on a loop to the local ski hill. I got my *** KICKED. Gonna take a while to get near the fitness level I was at before.

I didn't know they did that often with this type of bike, because of the weight. My downhill bike has discs, though...stopping power is amazing.
