Default Fed Ex Related Question

I ordered wedding rings for me and my fiance last week. I checked the tracking on the rings yesterday (sunday) and it said it was delivered friday and signed by F. Rontdoor. All weekend I never saw any packages and last night I went looking and even dug through the dumpster. I put in a claim with fedex. There automated system requires an invoice and such. I do not have that for 1. I ordered online, 2. the invoices come with the package. Should the shipping insurance cover it, it was there stupid delivery dude that dropped it off in front of an apartment building ?? Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks

Every package has a tracking number that allows you to track the progress of the package. That automated system should ask for a tracking number. Something tells me that Fed Ex has a system for retrieving lost packages when the shipping is web based.

but F. Rontdoor...as in Front door? :? (I find that mildly humorous)

Anyways, it sounds like they stole those rings then, with a signature like that

Yes, Fedex should pay for this.

Do you live somewhere with a doorman or at a house?

niether, I live in an apartment building. Theres 2 businesses on the first floor, the landlords run one of them, the second floor has 2 appartments, one is mine, and the 3rd floor has 1 apartment. The front door is at the main street sidewalk, so if the fedex man left it at the front door, he would have had to just leave it on the sidewalk.

Do the businesses have the same address as you?

I live at 206 Apt 1, the businesses are 206 and 208. I asked the landlord who runs the 206 shop and he said he never saw it.

The thing that gets me is I have recieved many many packages (computer parts mostly) via fedex, and this is the first time anyone in the history of me living here that the fex ex driver was too lazy to come up to the second floor and drop it by my door. He dropped it supposedly at the front door of the building, which is on the side walk, next to main street. How freaking stupid
