Explanation of my username & bad news about its origin,
I have been a member on this forum for a while now. Most of you are probably wondering, however, where my username came from and what it means. Sol asked me about it at the MI meet and I explained it to him, but I just got some bad news related to where this username came from so I thought now is a good time to explain to the board what it means and also the bad news.
When I was about 12-13 years old, I don't remember exactly what age for sure, I had a very good friend named Lloyd. We were very good friends at school and he was a very nice and extremely smart kid, if you got over his annoying voice he was an awesome guy. He was very interested in computers and video games at the time, as was I. I spent the night over at his house one night and all we did was play video games all night. His whole family had a little joke and they called him "dork boy," due to the fact that he was a computer geek and had a very nerdy voice. So, while I was visiting him this night, they were calling me "dork boy 2," as we both had similar interests at the time so we were a lot alike, so it just seemed fitting. Well, later in the night we decided to play a first person shooter over the internet. Me on one computer and him on another in a different room. Well, I couldn't really think of a username to use because at that point I always just used my name for things when I was on the internet. He came up with "dork boy the killer" for himself, because it was a first person shooter (thats where "the killer" comes in), and because his family called him dork boy. So, since his family called my dork boy 2, I decided "dork boy the killer 2" was very fitting, however it was quite long, so I abbreviated it and it became dbtk2...which obviously is now my username.
After my sophomore year of high school, Lloyd just dissapeared. I guess he decided to move in with his father in Colorado. He moved there over the summer so the next year I didn't see him. He had a very very rough childhood, his parents never got along when they were together, then they seperated and his mom got married to some *******, and then dated repeated other ********, and his whole childhood was just really shitty, there are other reasons not just parent problems. However, despite how shitty his life was, I can't say that I ever saw him sad. He was always smiling and laughing about something, and excited about some new video game or some new sportscar coming out or something. He came to visit my Junior year at the beginning of the school year (so about a year and a half ago) and I talked to him for about 20 minutes, but being during school thats all the time I could talk to him, I would've like to have talked to him more but that couldn't work out. So since then I haven't ever seen him.
So, I went to work tonight to talk to one of my co-workers about his new car that he bought and was asking him how badly he was getting ripped off on his insurance due to him being 18 years old and the insurance company classifying his Sunfire GT as a "sportscar." However, one of my other co-workers was also very good friends with Lloyd when he lived in MI, and he informed me that he was informed a few days ago that Lloyd passed away from injuries he got from a car accident. Thats all the information I have on it, as I haven't had a chance to look up any newspaper articles or anything on it yet. This makes me feel so shitty because I have never met a nicer guy in my whole (short) life, yet his life gets cut short due to a car accident. Now maybe he was messing around and driving recklessly or something, which is completely possible, but I don't even know if he was driving or whatnot. I'm trying to get more info on it right now. However, no matter what the cause was, I can't get over the fact that the person that helped me come up with the only username I ever use anymore isn't around anymore. It makes me feel good that I can at least carry a little bit of him with me everytime I post something because of my username though. I just can't get over someone as nice as him having something like this end their life.
I know death is just something that happens in life that you have to learn to deal with, but even someone that I'm not very close to anymore makes me feel horrible when I hear news like this.

People always come into your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason, you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilleed; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.
When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends.
LIFETIME, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
