Well I spent this winter using a snow blower and finally got fed up with wearing all the snow. I bought a plow for my Craftsman tractor. I was able to get it all mounted up today and tried it out on some piles of snow that we still had on the shaded side of the house. I was was almost not going to buy one but after talking to people with them I decided to go for it. They said that with a set of chains and some weight they work great.

Looks like we may get one or two more snows this year so I guess I will actually get to try it out before next winter.

my uncle has the same thing. personally i want a quad with a plow and mower. that would be awsome.

Hey torque, I hate to be another parade-rainer, but the plow really isn't as good as the blower. We've tried both,(A self-propelled walk-behind blower, a plow, and a tractor mounted blower) on a driveway a 1/4-mile long, with a bigger, heavier Craftsman tractor than you have there. Even with chains and wheel weights, our tractor just wasn't heavy enough to push that plow. Nor is it fast enough to get the kind of speed neccessary to throw snow off to the side like a plow is supposed to. Even though the tractor-mount blower is a PITA, because it keeps throwing sheer-pins, it works a lot better than the plow.

We now have a big Kubota, with a backhoe and a front-loader, and we still use the Craftsmen tractor with the blower to clear our driveway.

That said, we haven't had a snow worth talking about this year. We got hit bad by that ice-storm, then nothin'. Nada. A couple piddly, stinking 4-5 inchers, but only once did it stick long enough for me to get out and do donuts.

My dad has a john deere with the plow and chains and it works great. Never has had a problem with it and he'* had it for a couple years now.
