Default Paint Brushes

I'm assuming there are some of you out there who have done some painting, or do it for a living. I'm talking residential interior wall painting.

First, what is the difference between trim and sash?

What i'm wanting is just a 1.5" or 2" for edging before i come along with the roller.

What brand is the best. I'm willing to spend $20 or so on a brush, i just want it to last me a good long while.

Also, where would i find your recommendation?

I've looked at Wooster and a couple others.

Oh, and while we're at it, what about Staining/varnishing brushes?

Thanks

jeff

It'* been a while, but I used to paint houses about 10 years ago. Sash is around a window. Trim is everything else. As far as brushes, I don't remember brand names but you want natural fibers, stay away from nylon and stuff, and get one that is comfortable. 2 or 3 if you can afford 'em, allow them to rest occasionally. Always clean them immediately, right now, as soon as friggin possible!! And store them hanging or bristles up, or they will lose shape.

Anything else??
