Vista Networking Help
I just picked up my new laptop today but cannot for the life of me get the new Vista machine to see my XP desktop on the network. I know a few computer savvy people here have played around with vista, and im hoping that someone could help me get this figured out! I have tried disabling the windows firewalls and also triple checked that the network names matched and its no use.
I can see the lappy form the desktop, but not the other way around. HELP!

I was just going to suggest checking your firewall. I had the same issue with my xp systems until I thought about it.
Are you liking vista. How about a review. I don't trust the press.......................never know who'* paying them.

so far, i really like Vista, it looks very nice, it runs very smoothly, and its pretty well laid out. Of course there is a bit of adjustment that is needed to transition over, but so far i like it alot, i haven't has much chance to dive deep into it yet though
