Does this mean I'm Grown Up?
For years, when people ask me what I do for a living, I tell them my job (Sales) and then would add, "...but when I grown up I want to be a singer in a band."
....well... I am now a singer in a classic rock band. So, does that mean I am grown up? I don't want to grow up...but I love being in a band. I'm also teaching myself to play the keyboards so add to the musical experience.
It'* true...Life Begins At 40

Yea...It'* been a couple of weeks....I hadn't gotten around to posting it yet because this stupid computer keeps crashing.
I met these people at my Friday night karaoke gig (sing/dj/karaoke) ...and they liked my singing...they had just lost their one guitar player (at 41 he re-joined the Marines or something...went to Iraq)...and so they were down to just three people, drums, bass, and lead guitar. They invited me to a practice... they played a Doors song and did a great job - but it was missing the keyboard solo. So I went home, dragged out my Casio from 1980, and learned the solo. Went to the next practice and played it....now I'm the new keyboard/singer person...
But at least I'm not the oldest...the guitar player is 41 ... the other two are early 3o'*.
Coming up with a name is sort of weird...they want "Half Cocked" ....but I thought people may have a problem putting that on their lighted signs... so I suggested "Fully Loaded"

For once it'* nice to say I heard it first...... I'm glad it worked out Tracy, maybe next time when we crack open a bottle of wine and Cathy starts to sing, you'll join in. Heck maybe I'll get drunk enough and start playing the guitar........maybe not.
Good to hear.
