The US is sending over 30 million dollars in relief funds over there. That's great, but it will only cover a fraction of the damage. It is really going to require the efforts of all nations to aid these countries that were damaged.

Lol, the earth never stopped rotating... the tectonic shift slightly affected the orbit of the earth, though, but not enough to have any drastic consequences for any of us. Although, point of interest, if I remember the story, subterranean shift instruments were off the charts over here in Ohio... can't recall if I read it right, I didn't have the story here with me.
