But earlier the official said conditions had to be perfect, and that was not the case Wednesday with swells in the Pacific Ocean west of Hawaii running slightly higher than Navy would like....

Glad they got the thing, sounded like it could have done some real damage. Anybody else remember that poor jackrabbit SkyLab killed?

Skylab didn't have a 1000 gallons of rocket fuel still in it when it crashed. Or classified info.

Also, the military didn't have the same cool toys they wanted to play with...

I read on another web site last week that it was some secret imaging device...

Im sure that was a big factor in shooting it down.. and not so much because they didnt want the shuttle to hit it

It was also a good time to show Putin he is behind the eight ball, because he wants to start the cold war back up.

I also read that it never worked, but they could be lying...wouldnt be the first time.

Apparently it was a success and the satelite is now 80-something pieces of debris and the larger pieces that may not burn up have a 25% chance of landing in my nation...thank you very much.

Good thing we have a lot of undeveloped Crown land
