Got a call from the adjuster...
Some of you may remember my issues with the apartment complex I live in. Basically, a below-code roof shed shingles during two minor windstorms and dumped them on my car.

Well, the adjuster came by on Monday and looked at the car, and said she had to talk to their investigating agent before issuing a final estimate.
Well, the agent called today.
The estimates I got form the dealer and the glass place were $1380 for paint, and $585 for glass.
American Family is issuing a check for $2600+!
This will cover the glass, the paint, and then some. I'm gonna do the glass, then sock the rest away for a couple months until I have enough extra saved to cover the rest of the full repaint.

Oh man, things are finally looking up for you!
(don't tell your landlord about this, maybe you can get an extra buck off him still )

I guarantee they already know...
Anyway, I'm now looking around to see how far I can stretch what'* left after the glass towards a full repaint. There'* a couple local places that have good reputations. MAACO is right out, obviously...

Well, it looks like the cheapest reliable place is still gonna want $2400 for an original color repaint. So at this point, I'm just gonna fix the front glass and maybe the hood. The scratches elsewhere are barely into the color coat, so I'll get it claybarred when the weather warms up.
The rest of the money will go towards mods. Aeroforce, Yella Terra 1.6s, S1X, and a pair of Hooker Aerochambers. Dyno-Tune session as well, obviously.
