read a few threads on propane vs gas and all say 10-25 percent less btus per gallon

so
12,000 ÷ 20 = 600 gallons of gasoline per year X 110% = 660 gallons of propane per year.
600 x $3.50 = $2100.00 gasoline / 660 X $2.50 = $1650.00 propane
So you are saving $450 per year in fuel.
$7500÷ $450 = 16.67 years to recover the cost of conversion.

I fail to see how that'* possible. When you add a 20+ gallon tank AND fill it you're significantly increasing the weight. If the car is still getting the same MPG how is it less efficient?

Also, it starts on gasoline to make sure the propane system is at the right markers. Since a normal ICE isn't deigned to run on propane, the propane has to be perfect. Right temp, be purged, and some other things I can't remember.

I think most of those figures are from the old style of propane fogger systems, they're not as effective as the new system which is DI.

propane has 25% less energy than gas, and your truck would be best case scenario for efficiency which would be 10% less mileage IF they change all the parameters on the pcm to run it or switch to a piggyback system to optimize use. the old crap just got 25% less power and mileage. it sounds to me this person you were talking to was selling some snake oil. even if you did want to do it all the systems i saw were talking prices under 3k

No, but they do tell you which companies are using their technology. You can then talk to them and ask them how they like it. I've SEEN this thing in action, not just some numbers put out by the company.

THANK GOD!!! I heard they were thinking of not putting ethanol into gas because of the droughts.

i dont want to sound all conspiracy here but will anyways

this is being done as part of the grab of us farm lands my the gov and monsanto and as part of the effort to control ALL water by our illustrious "leaders"
the ethanol contaminates the ground water and renders it unusable for irrigation OR consumption. the deletion of cars they can not "shut off" with the touch of a vutton is also an added bonus. this my friends is how life in a totalitarian dictatorship starts. I am an old guy and have seen this all before just NOT on these shores.
ethanol was a failure in the 7-'* and it is a failure now. the tech exists to get well over 200 mog from a gallon of gas but then the loss of billions yes with a b of tax dollars per year combined with the loss of control of the masses has renders such ideas as radical and untrustworthy and those who promote thenm must be jailed for the good of the few(the leaders) . sorry bit facts are facts
