Default New Project, Need your input (not car related)

With Pa Club Pontiac being a complete failure, I am not giving up. I ordered hosting and domain for another site. I plan on this forum being Like your local walmart, one stop for everything from cars to politics. Heres where you come in, what topics other than cars would you recommend I put in that would keep people like yourselves coming and posting? What other things would you recommend? Let me know your input please. Thanks in advance
Dan

It was a failure because for 2 weeks or more, only me and 1 of our 30 members posted anything. I even tried to invite posting by creating a post asking how everyones day was or others. I tried and tried to get participation. After paying the last hosting payment, I started debating on why I am going out of my way to creat this place for Pa owners when I only get 1 post a day, and that 1 post a day was from only 1 of the 30 members. SSSuperchargedEI was right, people in pa do not care about there cars. 30 members, and only 2 active members, me and one other member. that means 28 signed up posted once, and abandoned ship. I tried and tried. I even made that contest where the person who recruited the most active members would win a walmart gift card. We got 1 member out of that contest, and that one member abandoned ship with the 28 members. I know having a site was going to require patience, which I was willing to give. But with the drastic decline in participation and my own administration abandoning me, I felt we lost this battle. I needed the administration more than anything to help me to get this going. And my administration was MIA for weeks. 1993 SLE If you want a position in the new site, I will be looking for a moderator of the automotive forum. Let me know. As for Pa club Pontiac, shes finished

Bear in mind that part of the reason that BC is such a great success is because it'* not so focused down to a specific state. It'* general to encompass the entire world. I'm sure there are lots of people who are interested in cars in PA. If you look at the big picture: BC encompasses 50 states and the rest of the world for a particular model of car. PA only encompasses 1/50 of that!! And then still throw in the specific car line wrench and your fraction is even much less than 1/50!!!!

Your site is an excellent idea and I comend you for your efforts, however, the very name of the site makes people believe that the membership maybe limited to those who only live in PA. Even if that'* not true...the mindset with your potential members might be dictated by your title.

Just my $.02....

Jeff has it good here, he has an A+ Administrative and moderative team to help him. If I had the team that he has it would be a different story. My administration was made up of good people. They just lost interest in the club and stopped participating in club activities. My administration had no posted in a while that i know of. I was running the club alone.

True....however, look at your member count. With only 30 users, there isn't much to administer! Your issue seems to be with attracting new users (which is why I made my comment about limiting the title)!

Inevitably you will need strong adminstrators as the site grows.
