I think it'* long over due. What is it about the term illegal that some people can not understand. If you speed, you break the law and get a ticket and pay a fine. If you rob a bank, you break the law and go to prison. You sneak in to the country and not follow the law, then you broke the law and must face the consequences. Can't deal with that logic? No problem, bring up profiling. Well, ya. It'* not like a white or black or Asian person is an illegal, it'* Hispanic.

The immigration law in Arizona is a positive step towards pursuing what has been illegal in this country since we started taking in people from other countries on Ellis Island 100+ years ago.
There is a big difference between being in this country legally versus illegally. I'm all for opening our land to those who follow the rules and obey the laws for entry and staying in the US. However; if you evade those rules and are here illegally you need to be dealt a swift and just punishment and deported immediately.
If you are here legally and break the law that requires prison time, you do your time and then get deported.
If we were to evade the laws in other countries and enter those countries illegally, do you think we would be treated kindly and in the manner that those who enter this country illegally are? Hell no! You'd be lucky to see the light of day after being thrown in prison, or you would be tied to a stake and shot as a spy.
Our immigration laws are a joke!

Yes I also agree with the new AZ law and cannot understand why some people and lawmakers are up in arms about it but maybe they have some Mexicans doing their lawns for cheap. LOL

It comes down to votes. Which side of the isle wants to reward the illegals and make then legal? Who do you think those people will then vote for? Right is right, the law is the law. There is no excuse for breaking the law, none.

I agree with it. It helps them enforce what is already a Federal law without Liberal ******* being able to bitch about it.
Also, I hate the way he handle Cubans. If they touch our land, they get to stay here no questions. If the CG catches them 500 feet from shore we send them back, sorry try again. Haitians on the other hand get no love no matter what, and they are from the same are and have the same crappy conditions.

The illegals are in this country because business wants the cheap labor. No other reason whatsoever. There are plenty of engineers and scientist that can't enter this country, but if you want to provide cheap labor the pressure is to look the other way.
This is not a democrat/ liberal issue as often played in the press. This is about cheap labor for business. It has a huge impact ON EVERY SINGLE BUSINESS in the USA- but has the biggest impact on the blue collar working man. He use to haqve the ability to make a competitive wage and some benefits. Those days have been steadily declining since the early 1980'*.
Letting illegals work in this country is no different that importing Chinese goods- simply about short term cost/ profits.

Government wants to make more jobs? Give the INS some of the money that we have been wasting on failing businesses and other private interests. Let them hire a few more border patrol agents. Hell give them flamethrowers even. While we are at it, hire on some cropdusters and load them up with napalm. Betcha there would be a few less people crossing the border.
Then when the illegals in this country rally and protest in complaint, stop every one at those rallies and check for citizenship.
For the ones who are left, tell them that the US will provide amnesty for them and they need to stop by the INS offices to fill out the paperwork to naturalize them. Take them straight from the office to the border.
Gotta stop giving citizenship to people just for being born here too.
