When a Christian reads that line, they're automatically captivated. It conveys a sense of trust. Some people have too big a heart and not enough stuff upstairs sometimes. They're so easily manipulated, why do you think we're in such a credit crisis these days? People spend more and more on things they HAVE to need, only because persuasive advertising and marketing says so (even if you don't see it...). So, while unethical (like the entire email), it'* very effective. It got you to read it, didn't it?

The style makes me think the original author is Islamic. If so, the opening line of the body is more cultural than exploitative.

The next few lines read

Unfortunately too many Christians are separated from their money by shysters..
Using God as an opening line is a new low.. well not new.. but still very low.

LOL these kinds of emails crack me up. This is the favorite at the office:
