Default Dog Days of Summer Contest

Which BC member best exemplifies the spirit of the Bonneville Club and why do you feel so? Post your entry in this thread to be eligible for the prize. All entries must contain three to ten reasons that support your nominee. You will be the lucky winner and not the member you feel makes the BC a place you like to visit and contribute to.

Your response to the question will be judged by Pontiac Mom, Sol and myself. We will be judging the entries based on content and supporting arguments to the question.

We will accept entries until the Monday the 22nd of August and pick a winner on Wednesday the 24th of August. The decision of the judges is final. I will pay for shipping of the prize to the lucky winner. All we ask is that you post back that you did receive the prize and it is what was offered.

The prize is a handsome leatherette Bonneville case that came with a 1996 Bonneville and is supposed to be used for storing insurance papers. Also included is a prized Bonneville key chain. These are sought after pieces of Bonneville paraphernalia that will improve your glove box and your Bonneville keys appearance. You have seen them go for lots of money on eBay and here is your chance to own both of these items.

Here are the pictures of the items offered as a prize.

And you will receive the coveted paperwork shown in this photo!

I think Willwren best exemplifies the spirit of the Bonneville Club because:

He is there to help solve problems in any way, shape or form that he can

He adds humor to the site and keeps us well entertained

He kicks anyone'* arse that gets out of line

He tells it like it is- whether you wanna hear it or not

He cares about the members here enough to call them if they are having troubles regardless of whether it is automotive related or personal

He makes sure to visit members when he is in their area.

And he looks damn good in a thong!

So, In my humble opinion Willwren is the spirit of BC.

There were many others I thought of but his deeds outshone the rest.

Thank you!

Mustafa would get my vote also...

But to be honest..

Teubok

He did create this site for us to learn and bumm around in, and have some good laughs and clean fun.

He also did choose the right admin. and mod to manage the board

Even though he no longer has a bonneville, he still kept it up and runnin for us

He could've charged us to use the board ( or had the stupid sponsorship pop up.. ) but didn't for the love of Bonneville.

We all know action speaks louder then words.. and we can all sit here and say thank you thank you thank you.. but when was the last time the man got a gift for all his blood sweat and keyboard cramped wrist of creating this site?

Jr's3800

Besides Bill Wren, Don has been a long time member, fantastic administrator, 3800 encylopedia and the personification of BC.com

I recall back when I was an early BC member with my 89 Bonneville, I could always count on Don for a quick response to any problem I had, he encouraged my online BC participation by engaging in multipost conversations about almost anything. If anyone has made an impression on me, its Don.

He has no enemies, very few biases and supports almost any GM product..hell he can find something good about a Lada or Yugo if you really ask . He always manages to mix in factual information with a personal flavour that only Jr can do. The only thing I regret is not being able to talk to Don as much as I would like too.

Mr BonnevilleClub.com is (in my book) Jr's3800.

And thats how I see it

I'd have to go with Don, too. Most members don't get to see my perspective. Don is quiet most of the time, but he'* EVERYWHERE on this forum.

1993 SLE...

Pat doesn't hesitate to help others with problems and is patient about it.

He helped me numerous times when he was staying in Normal. Especially that one time at midnight when my windows didn't work.

His Bonneville is very nice and has a level of presentability (is that a word) that is unmatched for alot of people'* cars (including mine)

I've been here for a while and have seen many members come and go.
I cant lean on one person that brings out the most here at BC but have a favorite group.
For me its the Minnesota guys, they have branched out with there own site (that has acted as our back up), and have had numerous meets and mod days.
They always have fun and are quick to lend a hand or advice when needed.
Some have moved onto other rides but still remain active and drop in from time to time.
And the best thing is they have Mos95b, the life of the party

Way to go boys, you make BC a great place to be
