Laps for Charity

Hey guys and gals. I jsut heard of this and don't know much. Here is what I know. 9-9-06 at Texas motor speedway you can pay 25 dollars and take your car on the track. I don't know anything else. Sounds cool though. Id sure like to open mine up a little.
Anyone know anything about this?. AND. Anyone interested in coming down to represent the club?

A) There IS nothing little about me at 6'4"/220lbs. ;)
B) But ya got the pervert part right
C) I'm always there to help a poor damsel in need. 8)

I'll bet ya have to sign off on a gizzillion things, but I would love to do That in my Bonnie.... Video of the experience would be a necessity, in case you actually deployed all the air bags in these things! I would be so exited and knowing it's a one time deal, I would probably drift into something.

Darrel 07-12-2006 12:29 PM

you've got nitrus in that don't you? i'll bet THAT would be a blast if they let ya!

GXP Venom 07-12-2006 12:52 PM

Ya, and you just know I would have to try and deplete the bottle.I cant think of anything thing more automotively awesome and challenging then to juice around a large banked track like that one.

Watkins Glen Internation Raceway did that last year I think. MAX speed was like 55 and you had to have a decent car to do it with too. ie no hoopdies, old and busteds, and they had to have tires!

thats more of what i figured... but how steep are the banks? wouldn't 55 make you feel like you are going to slide into the infield?

I've walked accross the banks a MIS and they are STEEP!
