Kitty litter

Yep, Kitty Litter. Ever try something and it's works so well you just have to share? hehehe

The wife and I were at Sam's and they had one of those little booths set in a main aisle that they usually pass out food samples. This one had a girl behind it with little plastic cups you usually find filled with large portions of Tartar sauce or what you consider small portions of cole slaw. In two rows were regular scoopable clay litter and Arm &Hammers new corn silage based litter. Between the two rows was a pitcher of water to wet each and show they both "bind" the water in clumps well. As we approached she started her premade sales pitch and I walked up to the table looking interested. It struck me to make a joke of it. I picked up one of the "new age Litter" cups, looked to each side to see the large amount of people milling thru and watching, And kicked it up to my mouth like a shot of whiskey. Kept the lips closed and withdrew my hand and cup to the side quickly. While mock chewing I said out of the corner of my Mouth, "could you pour a little of that water into a cup for me, this is really dry" while slowly scanning each side of me to see peoples reactions. :D Got alot of laffs and 's. The girl herself was dumbstruck and stammered out "Your NOT suppose to eat that". I then opened my empty mouth and lifted up the still full cup of Litter with a sly grin. (If you go shopping and take me expect this, I live for such moments)..... Anyway.

The stuff works great, and the big reason it "hooked" me into buying it is I burn wood and everything that will, to heat the house from an outside enclosure. I just toss it in with the usual kitchen trash after refilling the furnace with wood. No more stashing it in corners till I can take it up in the woods and pitch it in a hole I have to dig. For me it's a :thumbup2 product.

The story was pretty amusing, although I was waiting for the "I whipped it out and ..." part. :)

You burn the kitty litter and said contents?

Yep. It appears to just be granulated corn silage. We bought the first bag after we got to talking to the poor girl. She said it was corn based, and I thought hmmmm, burnable. Furnace stack is above the roof-line and always a Southerly wind into the forest. No traces left.

I guess there really is no accounting for taste. :thumbup2

One could only imagine that Kitty Litter, new or used; is an acquired taste. :)
