How much $$$? I've seen good results (albeit not in person) from Sharpe HVLP guns. They run a "few hundred".

^ those are said results. Pure DIY job. Though I dunno if you're going on such a large scale?

thanks for the ups guys, when i was done painting it was 2am and I thought it was like 10pm

Problem is, yes you need a compressor, but you need a way to keep the condensation outta the paint....at least that is what someone told me.

(worst to best)

well for basic touch up in the garage id use somthing like this http://cgi.ebay.com/Touch-Up-Air-Pai...QQcmdZViewItem
but thats only for small repairs not whole panels

your next bet would be going up to something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/Sharpe-Finex-FX3...QQcmdZViewItem

but you best bet would be something like this (this is the first gun i everused) http://cgi.ebay.com/DeVilbiss-Paint-...QQcmdZViewItem This gun is for larger jobs (ive done entire cars with it)

you will also need a compressor the has a high feed volume and an air dryer co that the moisture doesnt **** up you gun and paint
