I can see them building it (or something very similar)...
Resently at work (GM dealership) we had our annual staff meeting to descuss thing that are happening both in the dealership and with GM itself, And the owner told use some of the things GM is doing to "take back the market" and one of them was a commitment to get into the "tuner car" (rice) market and compete with cars like the Scion and what not.
I think it would be cool to see something like that to put these ricers in there place

Wow....they actually designed something even UGLIER than the SSR....go GM!!!!

The other reason for a non-sheet metal skin is the relatively low output 2.0L common rail diesel engine that generates a smallish 190 horsepower
