We used to refer to good size, hard breaking waves as "dynamite surf". This takes that concept to a whole new level.

Being fairly familiar with the surfers' mentality, the scary thing is they are going to want to catch a wave closer to its start., where it'* bigger and steeper. Plus someone will want bragging rights, to have ridden the largest "dynamite" wave.

It'* not difficult to speculate where this headed...
