Sciatic Nerve
Really should be called the PSYCOTIC nerve, cause this pain drives me insane!
The last 2 weeks have been sheer hell, even went to the ER at the crack of dawn cause my left leg had went so weak I could barely stand, among other things. ER doc says it needs major attention and soon, WTH am I supposed to do with no health insurance or sick pay?!?! I had a back surgery about 10 years ago and I dont want to go thru that nightmare again. 6 weeks on the couch and another 12 or so before I could lift over 10lbs, which included my infant son at the the time.
Just ranting here, feel free to ignore LOL

Me too, bud. As a result of Lilpooky and I being totalled in a car wreck. I've got some permanent pralysis as a result. Be careful.
Stay off of it as much as possible. Try to sleep without your head elevated. Try a prescription nerve-blocker. Ultimately, you have to find a way to continue treatment. Serious complications can result.

Glad I am not alone, I had a pretty good flare up about 3 years ago, Vioxx lost effectiveness, DR gave me Neurontin, messed me up too bad, so I quit it after 4 days. Got a steriod injection which seemed to take over a week to take effect. Of course all this was back when I was insured LOL. At least I found an honest chiropracter, he said that if I didnt get relief after a couple of treatments, then he wasnt my guy.
I do sleep with my knees up or on my side with a pillow between them and ibuprofen takes the edge off the pain so I can at least work.
Think they will ever have to open you up to fix it?

heheh, old guys? I developed these problems at age 22, I am now 32. I too thought I was bulletproof until then
The sciatic nerve starts at the lower spine and runs all the way down your left leg, if you notice a shooting pain in your hip, butt cheeck and thighs, then your sciatic nerve is talking to you. Mine shoots all the way from my butt cheek clear down to my ankle
