I keep a close eye on my cell phone bills because there've been a lot of changes to it recently. I want to be sure billing is right.

Today I checked my usage online for the heck of it.

Invoice period: January 03, 2008 - February 02, 2008 (meaning it started six days ago)

I have used a total of 590 text messages already. I think I'm frightened by this. I'm glad I have unlimited! Anybody else do this?

I am on an unlimited plan, and I usually use around 1500 a month.

Haro, 50 a day seems normal. Three an hour in a 16 hour day.

Bonnie is averaging twice that at almost 100 a day.......must have a chattier personality.

1500 text messages a month??

Holy crap. That'* nuts. I'm not a texter. Hate the stuff. The thought of having to press the "7" key four times for an "*" is ridculous to me. I'd rather call the person.

I've actually had texting dsabled on our plan because we were getting a lot of spam texts. It was costing $.15 per text to even receive them. Heck with that.

Unlimited texting costs about $15 per month compared with phone calls at .25 per min.......1500 calls at 1 min long = $375. And who talks for a minute.

My phone has the entire alphabet on it so no pressing the numbers multi times.

T9 is a predictive text format on most cell phones. I can type on my phone almost as fast as a keyboard. You only have to hit the number once

Much like texting, I'd assume, making actual calls is more affordable thanks to "packages" or "plans". If 1500 minutes were to actually cost $375 then I doubt most people could afford cell phones.

Didn't know about the T9 thing. Interesting.

i prefer txting also. If the person is not available i usally txt them and it would be like a mobile e-mail to check whenever they want from the main screen instead of going through voicemail and passwords and such. Im also in high school so it is a must to talk with people during school as well.
