Back in Black
Just got my new RAZR. A few pics to compare it to my VERY nice and fairly new Motorola V551. I'm very impressed with every feature, not just the looks and the size.
Among many nice features is the ability to not only sync it with my laptop and PDA, but it also charges off the same mini-USB cable.

Everyone? I guess they're better than Westerners then. I haven't seen a single V3 out here yet. Not on the street, anyway.
And I could really care less if some ricer has one. I like the phone.

They're popular for a reason. The Motorola V501/551/557 series are VERY good phones with excellent reception in 'limited' areas. I live in a GOOD coverage area. Yet when I spoke with jr's3800 earlier tonight, he commented that the call was MUCH clearer than the call earlier today.
For an internal antenna, this thing really gets out.
Have cellphones become so much of a status symbol now that people actually get DEFENSIVE when you get a new one?
I got the phone because I get a bigger discount than the corporate discount from my provider, and it was only $10 more than a new battery for my V551. And it'* rated as a better phone. Not because it'* some kind of symbol or popular phone. I could care less how many people have them. I like it, it'* better for my use and purposes than what I had, and I got a smoking deal on it.
Who else has one, and how do you compare it to what you had before it?
