i just picked up a 84 F-250 4x4 for 300$ 4spd 351w is a windsor a good motor?

They made the windsor and the Cleavland. I always thought the cleavland was the better one ( cause my dad had it in his 1970 Mach 1 mustang) but I have heard other people debate that the windsor is better.

I don't really know the stats on it, but, I think it'* just one of those endless debates that this one is better than that one.

So simple answer, I think it is a good engine. Depends on the shape of it and how hard it was run, but all engines are like that.

I've heard the cleveland is the better one too.

I got a '81 f-150 4x4 for my beater. 300ci straight 6 and a 4spd granny low manual tranny. Not much to look at but it rins pretty good. I picked it up for $350 about a year ago.

It depends on how it was maintained. Both are good engines (for Fords )

Actually, up in this neck of the woods, a majority of the old trucks you see still running are Fords. As much as I prefer the old Chevies, you can't deny what you see on the road.

wierd, here and north of me, I hardly see fords, new or old...
sure there some, but not as many as the chevys, mostly dodge 2500s.
