I'm just venting....

I swear, I hate my job here at the body shop. My manager is a huge (and when i say huge, I mean HUGE) butt-hole. He treats me like crap, blames me for things he does, and gets real snotty with me for no reason at all. I think it's time for me to start some job hunting. It's just going to be hard finding another job that is flexible around my daughter, and that pays me $500 a week.

LuvmySse 12-08-2006 11:58 AM

There is one of them people at just about every job setting, move on or ..well use your imagination.. ;)

wjcollier07 12-08-2006 12:25 PM

hmm, doesn't sound good. sorry to hear that les.

BLACK94SSEi 12-08-2006 12:29 PM

Sorry to hear Leslie. I felt the same way not too long ago and like LuvmySse said, you will find one anywhere you go.

Sometimes when people treat me like crap at the office, I shove it right back in their faces and do the same to them. They find that they dont like it much!!

Skippy1827 12-08-2006 01:16 PM

really>>> Ditto what they said. you will find jerks wherever you go

Sorry to hear that. Your only three choices are to get a new job, put up with your boss's abuse, or PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE.

There's some good ways to do the last option, and that's the route that'd be most fulfilling. lol. I mean, you want a new job anyways, what do you have to lose? Maybe some good would come out of that. By "put him inplace" I mean having a stern discussion with him about how exactly you're feeling and why. Tell him you don't appreciate his attitude towards you when things arne't your fault.

Best time to look for a job is when you already have one! ;)

I'm fortunate to work in a place without any butts. Unless I'm the BH. hee hee!

...heyyyy, wait a minute...

He's not my boss. My boss has 2 companies and very rarely is here. He's told me millions of times that I don't have to listen to Carlos (manager) b/c he's not my boss. And I've gotten snippy with Carlos right back when he gets crappy, but it just escalates and he starts getting real ignorant. I've complained to my boss tons of times and he says he will take care of it, but apperently nothing is being done. So I dunno, I guess I'm stuck here until I can find somewhere better.

Tell the boss.. that it's gotten to that level. Explain that it hasn't been handled and you are starting to look elsewhere.

There are laws concerning a hostile work enviroment. Have another discussion with the owner and mention the fact about the laws and tell him if something isn't done.you'll be contacting your states labor board.

I had a supervisor that was giving me a hard time and explained to him that I did know the laws and he backed off ;)

Yeah, my other complaints are there is no heat in my office, and the bathroom is unoperable. So I freeze all day while the guys in the shop have heat, and then when I have to pee, I have to drive to go. My Mom told me to contact the health department about those things.

i'd say seriously threaten to contact the health department first, cause then it might get done w/o any legal action needed 8) but if nothing happens, see what they have to say

Kick his ass!! I would contact the labor board in a heartbeat. As far as the way he treats you - give it back to him. My job is not for just anyone and a lot of people quit early on because of the pressure etc. My boss comes across as being such a prick but me and the other girl give it right back to him. We don't take much of his crap. I mean there are days when he is in a majorly bad mood and we kinda lay low but for the most part we tell him how things are going to be. We are the ones doing the majority of the work and keeping up with everything so we have no problem telling him to do stuff for us. I tell him to get stuff off of the printer for me all the time. We tell him "would you just be quiet you are bugging the crap out of us" and that was spoken today as a matter of fact. As a matter of fact not too long ago I was being such a biotch he asked me if I had PMS and I said "YES!!!" and my co-worker said "I do too and you just need to keep your tail in your office and leave us alone!" and he did for the whole day  At keast he ain't stupid

I'm a biotch and know I'm good at my job and I'm not about to take any crap. I speak my mind and tell it like it is.
