What a pain. They moved my mail box because the road it was on is gone. Here I'm standing right next to the box. You can't even see my house, it's behind that tan building. Make not of how far it is away.

Now I've walked all the way to that tan building and you can now see my house, way over there.
Attachment 29165

I can't even get to my house this way.
Attachment 29166

I can get out the back way, but not from here. This blocks two of my driveways. Good thing I opened up the back driveway.

Looks like you need to trade your Bonnie in for a boat!

That sucks....hopefully they will have some nice weather and get it done quick.

Is that where your mailbox is goining to be from now on?

Danthurs 04-20-2009 05:04 PM

No, it will be moved back to my house. Trying to get a driveway to connect the two driveways in front of the house. Then have a row of boxes to cover the houses in this area. That way the mail cars not stopping on the entrance of the roundabout. Also a place for the buss to pull in so the kids don't have to go down to the road.

GXP Venom 04-20-2009 10:39 PM

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant believe you can negotiae thru that mess! Time to put some lugs on the front of that Bonne.......

Danthurs 04-20-2009 10:44 PM

I was thinking about putting a outboard on the back.

Dianes from over yonder. She says out Michigan way they calls these roundabouts, "Detroit Left's" because thats where they started. Lucky we dont get much traffic out here.

tlsheff 04-20-2009 11:49 PM

lol they started doing them in the more rural parts of Tulsa recently... mainly in the estate complexes for the safety of playing children i think... its a 30 mph area but lets put in some small roundabouts just to make them slow down and pay attention lol

This is where being a contractor myself comes in handy. Get some nice green boards and plywood and build myself a little bridge to wherever I want to go. Paint some white lines on it and call it my take-off strip, haha!

And it still goes on. Yesterday I leave for work. I get in my car and head down the only open driveway I have, the south one. I get to the end and it's closed. CRUD!! I turn around and head back to the house, the first west driveway is not going to happen.

I head down to the other west driveway, it's rough, steep, and dirty. Good thing I washed my car the day before.

I end up driving all over looking for a way threw. Not having much luck. I had to drive north threw all the construction and finally found a opening I could sneak threw. I was not happy. What flippin moron closes all the roads around 7 or 8 houses?

At least it's getting close to being done. There is a dirt circle now with a big pile of dirt in the center.

Now, they just need to finish getting rid of all these old pipes in my yard.

I figure I have a good month of this yet, if not more.
