WebCam of the Ice Palace in St Paul. It's a wee bit nippy out there...

As a North Dakotan I can do -20 in my sleep. This morning it was -42, plus windchill.

I had to sit there on my driveway for about a half hour, only just inching forward. Sue's accelerator got stuck!!

Well, ol' Bonne Blue hasn't wanted to play in this 15 to 20 below stuff, and I think it's because of the alternator not charging the battery enough. She'll crank, but not fire, and the battery only reads 12.3 volts. C'mon above zero!!

And with that note, I'm off to the tub to thaw out and wash off whatever is frozen in my mustache...

This is your awesom 830CCA or whatever battery too isn't it. Don't you have her plugged in? Chit my cars starting and i have some Die hard battery in her.... And wind blowing away all the heat right away.

Got my hair cut yesterday, went from 190 operating temp (normal) to like 130 in 10-15 minutes.

You people dont know what cold is. Tonight/tomorrow I have to do a hot shot to ft. Mackay alberta (150kms north of ft.mcMurray) Its -55C without a wind chill!!

It's weird, the siberian cold air shifted accross the north pole, got western canada, and the daktoas and MN only.

Yeah, it's the new battery. But you gotta consider, I do 90% of my driving at night with everything on, so I doubt my old alternator kept it up to snuff.

That, and I let her get down to a quarter of a tank of gas, which I am thinking is the bigger culprit. She still cranks fine, but no fire...
