I traded my Civic w/body kit for this?

Kinda odd when you see "civic" in a username on a bonnevilleforum, most people use their username they use other places online or use a combination of their car's year and/or trim....but..this caught my attention.

Oddly enough, at 2:30 in the morning the first thing that came to mind was...."oh great, someone in a civic saw a blue bonneville in chicago with a BC sticker, and the blue bonneville in chicago actually pwned the civic and he wants to flame the blue bonneville driver in chicago"

Just got a kick out of it.

Either way, I wanted to welcome the newest member if they decide to post.

Just thought i would say hi and explain everything. I just brought the bonneville on the 4th of dec. to replace my other car, the civic, because it was clipped by a semi over thanksgiving weekend. So i decided at this time it would be a good idea to retire the civic from being a daily driver...to risky to keep driving every day. The plan was to keep the bonneville stock except for swaping the receiver, xm tuner, amp, cap, and subs from the civic. Also, i wanted to tint the windows and upgrade all the head/fog light bulbs. But ever since i came across this site, the more posts i read, the more i want to do. But for now, i'm going to have to stick to the cheap/do it yourself mods.

Ha ha... These cars respond well to simple mods... And there are many things you can do on a budget that will give you more and more of a smile...

welcome to the club ;)

You drive long haul?? Who knew? Obviously not me.

Civicguy808 12-17-2006 04:33 AM

Well unless any of you are canadian truck drivers, then there is nothing to worry about. I was in the middle of nowhere about an hour and a half in from windsor.

Anyways, i just got done installing my receiver, xm tuner and subs and what a pain that was...i'm just glad i didn't have to run a separate wire to the antenna booster like i thought. But hopefully i'll meet up with some of you that live in the area in the future. Later

duffer26 12-17-2006 10:38 AM

well my 9370 came from north of the border if that counts lol

and cool i bet the sound is better now

Civicguy808 12-18-2006 07:14 PM

I had a feeling it would sound a little better then in the civic but i was surprised how well it sounds now. All my friends are impressed with the sound too.

Also, does anyone else have issues with radio reception quality when the rear defroster is on? I don't use the radio very often but i have noticed the sound quality drops dramatically though.
