Default Hyundai Azare vs. SSEi..

Its a sad day when the all new Hyundai Azare can run the same as a 96-99' SSEi. Motor Trend says 15.0@ 94.3mph from the new 265hp 3.8L V6 that replaced the XG350'* 200hp 3.5L. Even the midrange Ellantra (sp?) runs 15.6@90mph. Sometimes I wish it was still 1998 when we could still rule the road. No American 4 door could touch a L67 then. Now we have 425hp SRT-8'* and 469 hp STS-V'* to live up to.

Times change... wait until I tell you about the next V6 Camry...

which has 3.5L, 268 hp and 248 lb-ft to go along with it. I don't think I'm too fond of the styling however, it may grow on me.

But you can still tell that you hold up with cars 10 years old younger with better technology.

Nope, a average Series 2 L67 does 15.0@ 92-93mph. An average LT1 Roadmaster- Impalla runs 15.6@ 90mph.

still bland. still a Hyundai and it is azera not azare.

however it is not a bad car. especially if someone was buying it new because of the ~$25,000 price and the warranty.

Know anyone that even 5 years down the road still has or likes their Hyundai? Took them 10 years to do it. Not bad for the lag time..

I honestly think the new Hyundais are nice looking cars. They've adopted a lot of Euro type styling.

Especially compared to the 89 Hyundai I bought when it was brand new. The Mitsubishi engines they used back then would take a beating. Finally got rid of that thing in 97 or 98 when the MN road salt ate it
