I need a Job

Yes, I REALLY need/ want a job. I have to pay back my Jeep. I also want to do a lot of stuff to it. The list is mega long and I REALLY want to get some of the things done. Unfortunately, I am unemployed and in highschool sports.

LakevilleSSEi 06-08-2005 07:38 PM

Quit typing about it here and go find one

opensourceguy 06-08-2005 08:09 PM

Yeah man, even I can get one. Mind you I will be picking vegetables for a local restaurant at some weirdo's house.. it still will pay for my shit. If you live in the country, go find a farmer and ask if they need help. There is always something you can do. You are very lucky since you can drive to your job. Me, I have to walk to wherever I need to go. And I can walk from one end of my town to the other in under 10 minutes. Not a whole lot of opportunities here ;).

dude, work in fast food. You're in high school and it's just a temporary job. They usually have very flexible hours for those in school and it's not that hard of a job. Plus, it's usually a lot of fun!

Twister97 06-09-2005 11:59 AM

got a local waterpark near you?

Princess Jeanie 06-09-2005 02:45 PM

Yeah, I'm with Custom. Don't be afraid to work a fast food job or something like that that a lot of teens do. I work with a bunch of people my age, and love it most of the time since we all are (or pretend to be) friends.

Ryan 06-09-2005 02:49 PM

Agreed upon with the fast food...pay is decent and really flexible hours...

Don't think that you are above a job in fast food...you're not, you are in high school.
(no offense intended, it's just a common attitude)

You can make big "cash" money mowing lawns.
You will never make any money working for other people unless you have some school, but even then you have to make them money before you get what you've worked for in the first place.
I'm a self employed Electrician and love it.
However, it took me 5 years of school and working for someone else to learn how to work.
Did you ever see an out of shape landscaper? They look like there 25 when there 55.
Good luck.
