there are never cuts, there are only decrease in the rate of growth. Baseline budgeting rears it ugly head again.

well, if you want to get picky, W is frowned upon in the conservative circles for "net increasing" education funding, letting "the swimmer" Ted Kennedy write the current education bill. Got a beef with it, go gripe to the dems.

you know how to cut the debt? take some of the profit'* from U.*. oil companies for a year. They are making record profits. Dont you wonder why gas is so much when they make so much money per year!

the best way to cut government debt is to stop the "unconstitutional" practice of income redistribution. the government'* sole constitutional purpose is national defense (which is the only thing it'* good at). All other goverment ventures turn to complete crap because they involve some sort of income redistribution. The country grew and prospered before there was the income tax, social security, farm subsidies, public education, etc.
