Wow!!! The last time I saw anything like that was a close firend with a 72 RoadRunner. It took his left left entirely off.

Be sure to text for a tow truck.

In Wisconsin they just passed a law, takes effect Dec 1st. It's illegal to text while driving. Really, they needed to pass a law for that? Don't we already have a law called inattentive driving.

Yup they passed that law in Ohio a while ago too

Purplehazeir 11-24-2010 07:07 PM

They passed the no texting law in Washington and it's been in effect since June. There already was a law on the books for inattentive driving. Not sure why the numbskulls didn't just add the texting to it. Doesn't seem to matter. I see just as many texting now than before the law was passed.

Danthurs 11-24-2010 07:11 PM

Why even add texting to the law? Inattentive driving is inattentive driving, don't mater if your texting, talking on the phone, changing the radio station, putting on makeup, or talking to your kids in the back seat. It's all the same. Your job when behind the wheel is to drive, nothing more, nothing less.

ymmot04 11-24-2010 07:34 PM

Oweeeeee! I'm pretty good about ignoring my phone or using the hands free. I just don't like being distracted while I'm driving.

Jack 11-24-2010 07:42 PM

if it was a Toyota he could at least pull the "my gas pedal was stuck" excuse.

GXP Venom 11-24-2010 07:42 PM

Some tried to pass it here in PA, but we are resistant to laws trying to govern people. And especially stupid people. The Bill didn't pass. You just can't fix stupid.

Watch, now he is going to sue GM for their obvious negligence. They obviously neglected to make it guard rail proof.

Purplehazeir 11-24-2010 07:50 PM

It's a good thing that nobody was in the passenger seat....seen those, they are icky!

SAMzGXP 11-24-2010 11:29 PM

If I were in that girls shoes, be it TWD or DUI, I'd probably kill myself instead of having know I killed those people.

Danthurs 11-25-2010 09:59 AM

I saw that video last year, and at that time I commented on how the other driver had plenty of time to react and get out of the way. Although she was at fault for not paying attention, the other drivers also were not paying attention.

SAMzGXP 11-25-2010 03:01 PM

thats true Dan, but sometimes you dont even have the time to react

Danthurs 11-25-2010 04:16 PM

That is true, but more times then not, a car will drift over the center line, not swerve right in to you. And in that video she drifted over and covered a lot of distance. I know what they are trying to say in that video, but why stop there. when I drive I watch the other cars. If it starts to drift towards me, I move over. I watch cross traffic, every car will run that red light.

SAMzGXP 11-25-2010 06:50 PM

i see your point, when i first started driving my dad always told me worry about other drives more than your driving

Danthurs 11-25-2010 07:42 PM

My dad said about the same thing. He also told me if you see headlights in your lane, aim for the ditch, the moron behind those headlights is most likely drunk.

GXP Venom 11-25-2010 10:44 PM

Yep, drunken moron just crossed the line here and hit a friend's car. Shook him up pretty bad , but nothing broken. Thank God his pregnant wife and two kids weren't in the car. His car looks like that could have produced a tragedy.
