I just heard a GP just leave from in front of my house

and i was right. I like the way those cars sound taking off. Not speeding or anything, just normally pushing down on the accelorator and hearing that lovely pearl town coming from the pipes. SSE's from 96-99 have a softer sound.

i know what you mean... that burblely sound, only a GP...

I won a five dollar bet on this one time. They didn't beleive I could tell what a car is by the way it sounds.

ssesc93 02-19-2004 08:18 PM

I can tell that too. I can tell a n SSEi from an SSE (don't ask) a GT an GTP sound alike though until you mash on that gas. I can tell a series I from a series II as well

Yup, I do like the sound of the GP... very distinct

bonnytrek 02-19-2004 09:09 PM

GTP...no mufflers... LOL

sound like my car.

BonneMeMN 02-19-2004 09:52 PM

My exhaust is different from all stock setups, but i know EXACTLY what the engine itself sounds like on startup. I was pumping gas this week, heard an L27 fire, turned around, and saw a buick sitting there going.
