On all my digital camera I just press and click right away everytime. I did not know I could press gently then the pic focuses then press hard to snap the pic.
Doh!!!

I thought all digital cameras did that....

But, I understand your mistake. I tried explaining that process to The Missus. Finally gave up and just tolde her take pictures however worked for her.

But whya re you taking pictures of the wall anyway? :?

Yup, that was the only way I could get the pics of the lightning. It is a few posts below this one.

I had that same trouble as well. My wife took pretty bad pictures, especially when trying to take them of my son in action. I kept telling her over and over that you hold the button halfway to focus, then push the rest of the way when you take the picture. She either missed the shot, or it was out of focus.
