I hate wasp
1 Attachment(s)
I especially hate wasp when they take to living inside of the transponder of my satellite dish which happens to be the dish I get my internet through. :? They took a tiny small hole where a screw used to be to get into it looks like, then proceeded to make a nest big enough to teh point that the case has come apart... There's probably hundreds of them inside there and I can only imagine how long it'll take before my internet stops working because of it. I can't exactly spray them because of all the electronics so what do you do about them? I don't want to get near them, either, because I don't feel like getting stung dozens of times.
again.... I hate wasp! They're EVERYWHERE lately around where I live! Attachment 74339 |
Good idea, get some of those mammoth smokes you can get for the fourth of july, tape about four together, tie a rope with the smokes to the rod going to the transciever and light them. although dont put them right on the rod. Smoke should clear them out[sulfur smell], without damaging the equipment inside.

move to a new house

Reminds me of the time I had them winged ants in my glass-enclosed front porch...
http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...highlight=ants I sometimes have a wasp problem also, but usually there's that foam stuff that you can just spray at/into the deal. But you can't do that  |
complain about poor service to the dish company and ask for a replacement

lol Ill be in kzoo for school next week, I have some smoke grenades you could use, depending on how far you are from the city/roadway. Only downside is they sorta smell like CS[use two to get ride of the mole population in my yard].

Buy a couple wasp traps and put some raw chicken in them. Hang them near the dish. You'll have them all in no time. Use the bait that comes in the traps on the raw chicken.

lol. in theory that is a good idea but in reality asking a company with less than a 10% customer satisfaction rate to replace a dish because of poor service would probably neve rhappen in reality. the only reason why they stay in business is because A.) They force you to sign a 2 year contract before you get service. B.) They are satellite internet which means to even get that in the first place means that there's nothing else available in your area. (not even cable TV.) You pretty much get stuck with them. |
Get tha trap at Kmart, WalMart, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. In the lawn and garden sections. Cheap, too. Yellow traps.
http://www.improvementscatalog.com/p...e=macs=MPINK05 http://www.shop.com/op/~Beehive_Wasp...65?sourceid=13 The ones I'm familiar with are a greenish hellow cylinder. They enter from the bottom. I've never seen these before, but have used the other type. |
You gotta climb right up there, get your face about 6 inches from the nest, and scream like a Banshee.
They hate that! They'll leave for sure, then.... |

They hate that! They'll leave for sure, then.... Your a sick man John  how about a large trash bag, put one of those bug bombs in it. and wrap it around and tape it closed. they have to die then. |
AND a trap for the stragglers. I like that idea. Use a fogger, not a sprayer. Get the kind that you set in a bit of water for a reaction. That's a gas, not a liquid spray.
