I Had an Accident....

Not a car accident, thank goodness *knock on wood* but a riding (horse) accident. I kind of "fell" (it's still somewhat of a mystery what happened!) off of my horse and landed on my side. When I landed i thought i felt something snap and I couldn't breathe...so a few minutes later I got back up and got on him again and we rode around a little then I got off and got ready to go to work.
When I took his saddle off, I got this really sharp pain in my right. Then when I sat in the car, and had to sit upright, i thought I was going to die. So I drove myself to the hospital and sure enough I have two cracked ribs and "trauma to the lower back" (bruising on tail bone)
Kind of funny how i felt nothing for 10 minutes and even got back on again, then once the rush wears off i felt like i was going to keel over.
So I'm off work for at least a week now, and It could be a long time before I get to ride again...

I hope you get better soon! I know it will be hard to keep from riding your horse.

Oh ouchie Tam! Be careful of yourself and take it easy a bit. I fell of my Arab and cracked a bone in my shoulder and didn't realize I'd injured myself until I tried to pull my sweatshirt off and couldn't lift my arm up all the way..but I can't even imagine how you got back on with cracked ribs and a hurt tailbone!!! Feel better soon :D

I would think it would have been shock that would have made the injury not hurt for a while. Get better soon

Everybody does it at least once. Fortunately, my worst fall was on a mountain bike, and I was wearing a helmet. Got brushed off by a branch, cracked the helmet straight down the middle  , but I got off without a concussion. Just bruised my pride! :D

You know Tam there are better ways to get out of work for a week, LOL.

Hey maybe now you can clean (Gone Hollywood) and the Sh!tty cat paw prints ( had to be there people) will stay off the car for a week.

I know the feeling, but a bit different. I had a horse go down while I was still on him. Since we were only going for a short ride I only had running shoes on and it was spring time but still had allot of snow on the ground.

I was able to jump off him as he went down so he didn't land on me ( thank god).

Get better soon.

Hey now you can actually spend time with Murdock for a change, LMFAO.
