I am getting totally hammered by spyware and popups, I know this has been posted before, but I need a fresh free spyware cleaner...anyone??!

have u tried Ad-aware on c-net . it works great for me, but there are others.

if your not already, i would use AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy, and i also have a program called SpywareBlaster that prevents spyware from even being installed, all these seem to work pretty good for me, a firewall seems to help as well.

this is what all I use and it works pretty good

I use SpyHunter, Adaware and Enigma PopupStopper, they work.

Thanks guys I already had spybot search and destroy, which i LOVE, but it has become apparent that I need more than one, sadly. Bastids. I don't get AS MUCH spyware as some, simply because my 56k is too slow for the loooOoOOsers to install it

I'm currently downloading AdAware, which has been recommended to me by many. I'll be done sometime around Christmas

Gotta be careful though. All those programs don't get rid of everything. There are smart programs out there that play with your Registry, and only going in to there and deleting keys can get rid of it.

As far as pop ups go, my Google toolbar used to block them all but I think they've gotten much smarter...oy! they are annoying!
